Projected from the Elements
Projected from the Elements
Created by Sarina Del Feugo, video and light design by Tim Bright
Here are some long delayed images and a video taste of a projected I did with the wonderful Sarina Del Fuego in June, 2010 in Sydney. Sarina is a burlesque performer and in conjunction with her talented friends she created a wonderful show for the Underbelly Fesitval in Sydney.
I was invited to come on board for some reactive video, lighting design, some sound - and anything else I could offer! I enjoyed working with the Underbelly people, so nice - and working with the space. The giant concrete projection wall was a fun pallette to play with.

DEMOCRACY _ Solo show by FBL
DEMOCRACY
Curated by Hoy Polloy, Created by FBL
Feedback Loop spent the first part of this year producing a solo show for presentation at the Brunswick Mechanics Institute. It was a bold show based around the concept of Data Jamming. Data Jamming involves using data from different sources to influence the media in our show - lighting, sound, projections. We used both realtime data (stock market quotes, Twitter Feeds, Blog Data) and "mined" data (Flickr tags, Amnesty International research papers, BBC podcasts). The show was episodic and broad in its scope, but maintained a consistant inspiring message that the information age is a democractic moevement, where power is built through access to information - the very definition of the internet.
Below are some photos from the production and two videos. The first is a mini documentary outlining the themes and concepts of the work, the second is selected scenes from the production.

Feedback Loop perform at Electundra
Unfortunately we couldn't perform our stockmarket show at the Electundra audio visual festival - as the markets are closed on the weekend when the festival was held!! Instead we were asked to put something original together anyway. So the result was a mix of politics, parody and retextualisation! The music and visuals are all original and produced by myself, the video was shot by Nick and graded and edited by myself. Thanks to the willing actors and other helpers! The visuals were mixed solely by Nick on the night. He had the help of the ipod touch, and audio feed from the mixing console, and various other controllers. Here are a couple of images from the piece.
